Antalya has a very developed cultural life. You can find what ever you want, starting the national theater, national orchestra, national ballet and more. At the Turkey Antalya cultural center you can find a verity of events and activities. The center was open in 1995, and it uses also as a center for cultural, art, theater, creative art and music activities. In addition to that, some of the 4-5 stars Antalya hotels, have shows, free for the hotel's guests. Throughout the year many festivals of all kinds, including the movie festivals, take place in town. The movie and music festivals take place in October-November.
Singing festivals, with best of the Turkish singers and bands, is yet another attraction. You can go to one of the many privet galleries, or the international gallery of fine art. In Kaleici area, there are many museums, inside the Roman walls.

Antalya Museum
The Antalya Museum history. The Italians army was occupied Antalya on 25 March 1919. An archaeologists mission was came with the conquests forces to Antalya. The have started to collect antiques that found in the region and send them to the Italian Consulate, in Antalya.

Though it was still not a museum, it led to foundation of the museum, in 1922. The museum was founded in 1922 by Süleyman Fikri Erten. Prior to that, it was in the Aladdin Mosque in the old city. In 1937, the museum was moved to the Fluted Minaret Mosque, to us as a museum. Since ancient remains were discovered and placed on display, there was a need to move it to its present day location.

At present, the Antalya Museum, is stand on Konyaalti (now called Kenan Evren Bulvari) alongside of the city. Antalya Museum It is one of Turkey's biggest museums. It spans over an area of 7000 m˛ with 5000 art items on display. Also there are between 25 - 30.000 ancient items in storage, since there is not enough place to display all of them.

It has dozen exhibit rooms, open galleries and gardens. This is a good place to see the history of Antalya, since all the items are in chronological order. It has one of the biggest children's toys collection, from all over history. Many of the toys came from digs around Antalya. One of these relics is dated back to the 8-7th century b.c. The museum also has statues from the 3-2nd century b.c, that where found in Perge diggings. You can see the Philosophers mosaic, as it is know. It shows famous historians, speakers, philosophers and mathematicians, of the old age. Among the many other items on display, you can see jewelry, dresses, and a hand written Koran book. As a whole, there are many ruins around Antalya from many historical times. It won a special prize, by the European council, in 1988.

Old Houses of Antalya
They houses in Antalya build in accordance to the hot summers and mild winters, in this area. The courtyards and the stone walls help provide air circulation. The houses of Antalya are divided into three types, usually by their internal design of the main hall. This internal place, serves also as a storage area. The types are -I- , -L- and U halls. This design of the houses, took under considerations every day's necessities, whilst providing peaceful harmony that combined with nature and the environment.

Antalya Mosques and Churches
Though for believers, every mosque is important, there are few with greater importance. They are, Kesik Minaret Camii, Bali Bey Camii, Ahi Yusuf Camii and Tomb, Muratpaşa Camii, Iskele Camii, Karatay Medrese, and the Yivli Minaret Complex.

Other stopping place is Evdir Han, that you will be seen in the beginning on the road. This place is situated 18 km from the centre of Antalya, that was  rectangular structure made of cut stone and rubble.

Kirkgoz Han are located about 30 km away from Antalya. This unique  structure are very well preserved.
