Marmaris, that is known to be one of the biggest touristy sites in Turkey, has many hotels for every budgets. You can find 2-5 stars hotels, and even 5 stars deluxe. It is also possible to find pensions, guest houses, motels, apart hotels, villas for rent and Turkey holiday villages, as well.

Spring's (April and May) weather and October's weather, are chilly at times. Thus, it is advised to take proper clothing with you. Mid June until mid September, the weather is over 45cº in the shade, in many days.

Marmaris Clubs and Holiday Villages
Around Marmaris, there are few local holiday villages, as well as international chains such as Marmaris Magic life. These places have a lot of food as part of there all inclusive system, and many activities, as well. These place are where many families go to, so if you are looking for R&R, these might not be the places for you.

Hotel Laundry and Dry cleaning
All Marmaris hotels have laundry service, many times at an extra cost. In addition to that, all over Marmaris town there are laundry shops (Çamaşirhane), that also provide ironing service and more.

Hotel Communication
Many of Marmaris hotels offer internet service, for a fee. You can also find many internet cafes in town. Most of the 5 stars hotels offer office services, with laptop connection etc. for your own safety, do not check your bank account in an public internet cafe!!!

Do not use the phone in your room to call home, in some cases it can cost you more the 5$ per minute. It is very expansive. It is much better to use a pay phone, or your mobile phone, sms service and or a calling card.

Hotel Safety and valuables
While you travel around Marmaris town, it is better to keep your valuables under gourd, and or in the hotel's safe. This way, you can prevent theft, and thus, ruined vacation. Most hotels provide in room safe (free, or for extra pay), or reception safe.

Tipping
It is customary to tip the hotel's crew, drivers on tours and air - port transfer, as well as restaurants. It is advised to give at list 10% tip.

Important to know - most prices for rooms in hotels are for a person in double room, on 2 per room bases. If you take a room for “single” you will need to pay extra for that.

Money change
You are advised not to change money in the hotel - you will get less then what you get in a town change office. If you really need to change money, do not change more then 10- 20$.
